The story of Konica Minolta started in 1873 when Rokusaburo Sugiura began to sell photographic and lithographic materials. In 1928 Kazuo Tashima established Nichi-Doku Shashinki Shoten (Japan-Germany Camera Company, later known as Minolta Co., Ltd.). The company as we know it today (Konica Minolta) was established in 2003.
